SHIELD

Privacy Policy

Effective 24 October 2026

This policy explains what the Shield mobile game (“Shield”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Shield is made by Furkan Kumkaya, who is responsible for your data (the data controller). Contact: support@shieldgame.app.

The short version

What we collect

Data Why
A random device identifier created by the app (not your phone's hardware ID), and your Player ID To sign you in as the same guest player each time
The name you choose, your country (preset from your phone's region, which you can change), avatar, emblem, colours and other profile settings Shown to other players at the table, on profile cards and leaderboards
Game data: Gold balance and history, level, XP, badges, missions, match results, moves, statistics To run matches, pay rewards fairly, show your stats and prevent cheating
Friends, friend requests, invites, blocks and player reports Social features and keeping players safe
Your time zone offset To reset daily rewards and missions at your local midnight
A push notification token (only if you allow notifications) To send invites, friend events and reminders you have switched on
Your IP address and technical logs To connect you to the game server and keep it secure; logs are rotated
Anonymous usage events (no name or Player ID) To understand and balance the game, for example how long matches last

Your name, avatar, country, level, Player ID, statistics and badges are visible to other players. Everything else is private.

Ads (Google AdMob)

Shield shows a rewarded video ad only when you tap Watch ad to get Gold. Google AdMob provides these ads and may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, through Google's consent form. Shield does not use App Tracking Transparency and does not track you across other companies' apps. See how Google uses data. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Legal bases (EEA, UK, Türkiye)

Where data is stored and who processes it

Game data is stored on a server we rent from a hosting provider and is processed only to run Shield. We use these service providers:

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens they rely on legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, progress, friends and tokens are deleted at once. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days. Anonymous statistics with no name or Player ID may be kept longer.

Your rights and choices

Children

Shield is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
